Meet the dedicated team serving our congregation and community. Each of us is committed to supporting the spiritual growth and mission of our church family. We’re here to serve and walk with you on your faith journey.

  • Tim Bateman

    Vicar

    Tim joined us from Birmingham in February 2024. Tim is married to Claire, and dad to Louisa, John and Isaac. Tim likes to get outside on a hill, a mountainside, or in a wood and battle with the elements. Tim also loves eating. He’s always up for a spoons breakfast, a steak, an Italian, a cake… pretty much anything!

  • Ben Perkins

    Associate Minister

    Ben joined the St Peter's family in 2020. Whilst he and Beth moved from Bristol, he grew up in the area so felt like he was coming home! When Ben isn't crying about the state of West Bromwich Albion, he can be found playing video games or enjoying good coffee.

  • Richard Cobbold

    Assistant Minister

    Richard loves serving in a team with such great fellowship, fun and care. His passions are to be out and about with people and to be in the open air - either/or, and both. He loves keeping stuff for upcycling to solve others' practical problems ... sometimes to trade for help with IT.

  • Sarah Norbron

    Assistant Minister

    Sarah is married to Tom and has recently retired as a teacher and school chaplain. She enjoys walking in the country, being creative with textiles and is looking forward to spending more time in the parish and in Farnborough, looking for opportunities to have a good chat with people.

  • Janet Ruthven

    Curate

    Janet lives with her husband Brian and her daughters Hannah and Pheobe. Janet’s son Daniel died when he was 7 - do ask Janet about Daniel, she would love to tell you about him. Janet loves singing, listening to musicals and supporting Portsmouth Football Club. She enjoys spending time with people and hearing their stories. Janet likes drinking tea, especially if someone else is making it!

    Beth is married to Ben the associate minister and they have been worshipping at St Peter’s since Summer 2020. She enjoys reading a good book, spending time with friends and eating good food!

    Children & Young Families Minister

    Helen is mum to Samuel and Abigail, Wife to Phil. She loves anything Cornish including coastal walks, pasties and cream teas! She considers herself a big kid so loves anything crafty or messy! Children & Young Families Minister

  • Helen Rogers

    Children & Young Families Assistant Minister

    Helen is married to Paul and Mum to Tabitha and Jemima. She loves reading, travel, long dog walks with Barney (the dog) and family, playing board games and has recently got into running. She enjoys interior design and watching home restoration programmes and harbours a secret love of Kirstie Allsopp. Milky tea and strong coffee are always gratefully received!

    Harriet has been worshipping at St. Peter’s since 2013. She is married to Mark and is Mum to five children - Amelia, Max, George, Charlie and Sophie. In her spare time, Harriet enjoys baking, collecting ring pulls and writing music for pantomimes.

    Worship & Communications Pastor

    Yo is originally from South Korea. He is married to Mary with two remarkable kids, Abigail and Samuel, and Thomas(cat). He loves making and drinking his coffee at his coffee corner (His wife calls it the ’Coffee Shrine.’) He also enjoys cooking Korean dishes, the world’s best food!

    Jen is married to Mark and mum to Edward, Florence and George. She loves all things craft (makes it, reads about it, looks at it and buys lots of things in preparation for it!) Her favourite is crochet. She loves to visit the sea, whatever the weather and loves a stony beach at sunset.

  • Moses Obiti Murefu

    CAP Debt Centre Manager

    Moses (Mo) is from Nairobi, Kenya. Coffee, poetry and good food, you name it! The aroma of good food can’t pass him! Time by the sea with his wife and two boys or camping are the best, find them and they will prove it right. This says a little bit about him. Mo loves warm temperatures, anywhere from 25 to 30 degrees, anything lower than that is cold for him!

    Rob feels he has great taste in t shirts. He enjoys skateboarding however can't skateboard. He likes his free time to dabble in self contemplation.
