Part of our Vision as a whole church is to "empower a young generation to live for Christ", and we seek to do this though groups, services, work in local schools and supporting families.
During our 9.30am and 5.30pm services we run groups where children can learn more about the Christian faith through stories, music, craft and games.
At 9.30am there are groups for children from 3 months up to school year 6 (11 years old). On the first Sunday of the month we stay together in church for an All-Age service.
At 5.30pm there are groups for those in school years 3-6.
The leaders at all our children’s and youth groups are fully DBS-checked, according to our safeguarding policy.
We have two nominated SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) within the church, who coordinate a programme to ensure ALL children are welcomed to our activities. All children, are valued as the individuals God created them to be and all will have the opportunity to take part in whichever way is appropriate for them. The SENCOs are happy to meet with families to discuss the individual needs of children and how we can best support them in a church setting.
Lighthouse Club - For years 3-6, weekly club night with a bible theme held in the Parish Centre. Each week there is a different themed activity including crafts, sports, cooking and junk modelling.
The themes for this half term can be downloaded here.
Every Monday, 5:30-7pm, 50p entry. £1 for entry and sandwich tea.
We will be running a McDonald's trip for all those in school Year 6, to say goodbye to them as they leave for Pathfinders (a groups for school years 7-9). The trip is on Monday 8th July and permission slips can be downloaded here.
