We had an excellent talk and readings from Mike Swaddling. He chose the title "Telling Tales" as he publishes books under that name of people's reminiscences taken from taped interviews.

 
 

Mike Swaddling has published eight books in the last five years and interviewed over 300 people. He said it amazes him at the wide range of stories he uncovers. Some of his reminiscences reminded our members of the old cinemas and shops in North Camp. How you could walk across Farnborough airport and chat to the pilots, taking care when planes took off!!

All the books and the recordings are being kept safe in the local archives for use in years to come.

The comments we heard from members were that they enjoyed it and it brought back memories.
