Prayer serves so many purposes in the life of a Christian,
not only is it an integral part of our relationship with God, but
also a means of supporting those close to us and the wider world
at large. Answer to prayer can bring relief to suffering, can invigorate
us to meet life head on, provide solace in times of trouble and
most importantly, bring us into dialogue with the Lord.
There are many opportunities for prayer at
St Peter's - daily, within dedicated prayer groups and within cell
groups, or at our Sunday church services: -
- After every service there is an opportunity for prayer
with members of our prayer team in the prayer corner at the back
of the church. You can pray for answers to and help with problems,
pray for the sick, or simply offer up prayers of thanksgiving
for gifts of grace. The team are there to assist you in your prayer.
- Timothy Prayer - this prayer group was founded in
2005 to pray for the sick, the bereaved or the needy, and to give
thanks and praise for answered prayer. The group meet every Friday
in the Timothy room at the Parish Centre between 9.30 and 10.30am.
- Within cell groups - these groups meet together for
bible study, prayer and to socialise. Found out more about cell
groups by clicking 'here'.
- Apart from Sunday, there is daily prayer at the church,
or at our sister church (Church of the Good Shepherd) on the following
days of the week:

Tuesday: 8.45am - 9.00am St Peter's Parish Office
