Home groups … equipping, mobilising and supporting every member in living as disciples of Christ

Home groups lie at the heart of the life and growth of the church at St Peter’s - their aim is to equip, mobilise and support every member of the church in living each day as disciples of Christ.  This is done in the following ways:

Equipping

Applied Bible studies - looking at how the Bible passage applies in the daily lives of each group member and what change we need to make.  

Opportunities to explore and develop spiritual gifts

Mobilising

Discipleship and accountability - recognising we are all called to live each day for Christ and are responsible to each other for how we put this into action.

Encouraging ministry in the life of our church and beyond

Supporting

Welcome - providing an open and inclusive fellowship, where everyone is special and we enjoy relaxing friendship and having fun together!

Effective pastoral care for members of the group

Prayer - for help in living each day as disciples of Christ and the pastoral needs of members.

Wherever possible, Home groups are linked with a particular congregation.
